Well... it's taken us a little longer than expected, but under the circumstances a great job done all round. With a renewed focus on clearning Ulduar(10) we finally managed to take down another Old God.

A big congratulations to all those that took part in getting these guys down, and to those that stepped out to allow for better group compositions. Lets get our numbers back on track and get these guys down on 25.

Well... with weeks of working towards gearing up the Guild from Naxx clear after Naxx clear we have finally managed to complete the current remaining Northrend content. With some excellent coordination from the raid as a whole Malygos finally gave up the ghost and went down.

Although OAP recently haven't been the quickest to clear the Wrath content, we have as a whole been repeatedly focused on progression and have had no problem fielding a successful raid week in week out. This focus is eventually paying off and we will no doubt reap the benefits in the coming patch, with the Guild fully geared and prepared to meet the coming challenges of Ulduar.

Well the expansion has come and with the inevitable leveling of characters. As with everything this took varying amounts of time depending on the person that was doing the leveling. However, within a couple of weeks of release we were setting foot in the first of the new raid instances, an old friend, Naxxramas.

We started out like everyone else on normal difficulty and before the end of the month we had cleared the Arachnid, Military and Plague wings, as well as defeating Sartharion. The construct wing followed at the very beginning of December along with the Archavon, The Stone Watcher.

By this time those that were slacking on leveling were getting to 80 and it was time to start on the proper raid content. In what was left of the raiding week we took out the Arachnid and Plague wings in Naxxramas as well as taking down Sartharion and Archavon on Heroic difficulty.

Before we suspended raiding activities for Christmas we had cleared everything barring Malygos on normal difficulty and had the Construct wing and Frostwyrm Lair in Naxx as well as Malygos on heroic difficulty. The Naxxramas oversight was put right once we returned to full raiding duties after the start of the new year.

To date we have cleared everything prior to and are working towards a Malygos take down in preparation for the new instance to be released in patch 3.1, Ulduar.

Since we have been let loose on the Tier 6 content we seem to just keep bringing home these boss kills. With Supremus dropping for us last week and another easy take down of him this week we went straight on to take Shade of Akama down with no problem what so ever. Focus has been 110% over the last couple of weeks and it's starting to pay off with our current progression.

After a couple of extremely good weeks progressing in Hyjal Summit and a couple of our members biting at our heals to try the Black Temple out for size we decided this week that it was finally time.

After spending the first part of the raid week in HS to clear out our current progress there we scheduled in a couple of days to have a good look at what was in store for us down at Illidan's crib.

After a couple of initial wipes getting to grips with High Warlord Naj'entus, he soon went down on only our 4th ever full attempt on him. Excellent going guys and great focus from our healers.

After being surprised by the quick respawning trash mobs on a couple of occassions we decided that one boss for the night was enough (it's hard going in our old age), so we scheduled to go back and have a pop at Supremus the next raid night. From what we've heard we should be carrying away a couple of purps later on, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Well it would have been downright rude if we didn't take advantage of the fact we can now enter Mount Hyjal and The Black Temple.

On our 2nd attempt of the evening Rage Winterchill fell with relative ease, with Anetheron looking extremely promising after only a couple of attempts (maybe next week).

Thanks to all that attended and also thanks to the few people who popped into the Black Temple for a late night preliminary look at the trash mobs.

Following a perfect clear of SSC on Thursday, it would have been nothing short of rude if we didn't come back on Sunday to have another bash at the fish lady herself.

We have been raiding this level of the instances for a good few months now and with the announcement of the removal of the attunment to the T6 content there seemed to have been a lull in interest in the raiding of the T5 content.

As is testament to all of OAP, we knuckled down and carried on regardless.

As always a huge congrats to all those who got loot and special thanks to those that passed in favour of tanking priority, it will go a long way in helping us move forward in the T6 content. Details of the raid and loots can be found here.

Well lets face it, we've been playing about in the Serpentshrine Cavern for far too long now and it has literally been months since we bothered to have a look at the bosses in Tempest Keep, although we regularly went to give Void Reaver a slap our focus has been simply on getting up to and having attempts on Vashj (one thing at a time...).

Well after we found ourselves with a bit of time spare on Thursday after dropping Void Reaver we decided to go have our first ever look at Solarian, although we whiped on our first two attempts we decided there and then that we've simply been putting off a really easy fight for no reason and vowed to come back on Sunday... which we did.

Well after such an easy takedown we couldn't stop there... so after a couple of 'learning' attempts whilst people realised what happens if you don't move out of the raid when you have the debuff, we managed to also down Solarian on our 3rd try of the night, it only being the 2nd time we'd ever faced her.

All in all an extremely successful night and another testament to the amount of teamwork that goes into our raids, well done all and lets get focused on Vashj and Kael.

After a strong start into the new year with Karathress going down last week, we had managed a round of decent tries on Leotheras the Blind. We've had one of our Locks geared for the fight for a good couple of months now and have been itching to have some serious attempts here for a while

Because we had managed a perfect clear on Thursday of all the 4 bosses prior to Leo (Hydross, Lurker, Morogrim and Karathress without a single whipe, grats to an excellent raid), we had lots of time left to dedicate to taking Leotheras down. It was inevitable after getting him to 1% on our 2nd try of the night that this boss was for dropping, and after a couple of near misses (more due to us being un-prepared for the split at 15%) he eventually went down.

As always congrats to those that got loot and also thanks to those that passed for Cebo as way of reward for helping get geared up and nerfing his DPS just so we could take this fight, full raid details and loot can be found here.

Well as we get underway into the New Year, with our first complete raiding week we have managed to get some excellent progress under our belts.

Having managed to pick up a few new members over the last few months we have recently pulled back on our progress to allow for gearing up and for boss experiance to settle in with some of our newer members, this all seems to be paying off now with us repeatedly clearing the first 3 bosses in one night (Hydross, Lurker and Morogrim) all on 1st try 1st kill basis. This has allowed us some serious attempts on Karathress, none so serious as tonights.

After a couple of issues with pulling to tanks (with a severe lack of Hunters online) we eventually managed to pull off some extremely convincing tries, ultimately leading to an extremely convincing takedown on about our 5th full attempt of the night.

So HUGE congrats to all on our first major achievement of 2008 and a special thanks to those people who made concessions for our two Main Tanks:
